This topic demonstrates how to attach a resin to a terminal amino acid.




Step by Step

To attach a resin to a terminal amino acid, right-click its symbol in the sketch sequence element, then click Attach Resin ... in the appearing context menu:


Specify the resin attachment center and optionally the title of the resin in the appearing dialog. Check the Convert to amide checkbox, if the utilized resin attachment converts the C-terminus to an amide.



After clicking OK, the changes are reflected in the sketch sequence, as well as in the live structure view. In the latter, a red virtual bond indicates the connection to an external element.



To remove an attached resin, right-click the corresponding amino acid in the sketch sequence object, and click the Remove Resin menu item in the appearing context menu:
