This section contains general information about the current status of your ELN environment, a summary of your latest conversion, as well as general tools:


1 - License Status: 

Provides information about the current license status and possible follow-up actions. The 'Activate License' button lets you enter the activation code as obtained after purchase.


2 - Overall Status: 

General information and warnings on current ELN status.


3 - Backup Synchronization: 

Espresso ELN provides functionality for automatically backing back up your experiment data either to a backup file location, or the Espresso ELN server database. This area provides the status of this periodic synchronization and functionality to interact with the backup locations. See here for details. 


4 - Current conversion summary: 

Displays a table of contents summary of your most recent conversion, ordered by yield, experiment scale or date (default). Unfinalized experiments are marked by a red dot and a light blue background.


5 - Tools: 

This toolbar contains general tools required to work with Espresso ELN:

  • Resources: Provides an overview on the company-wide user-resources spent per project and year (only available if connected to the ELN server). See here for details.
  • Settings: Specify your application settings.
  • Materials: Provides access to the self-learning materials database for adding, removing or editing material entries. See here for details.
  • Help: Provides access to the help manual and selected topics, availability of updates and application info.
