1. To add a material, go to the desired price list in the Price List section of ChemProject and click the Add Mat button in the Price List section toolbar.



  2. Fill in the materials details in the appearing dialog. The entry of a molecular weight or molarity (M) is optional, but recommended if you often work with material equivalents. Then click OK to add the material to the price list.



    Material names: You will find that material names with numeric prefixes are not conveniently found in the materials type-ahead menu. Therefore it is advantageous to move this prefix to the end of the name: Thus, instead of entering '1,2-Butanediol' it is preferable to enter 'Butanediol-1,2'. 

TIPS: 

  • While above material entry is great for adding individual materials from time to time, you might consider the the Excel Import/Export functionality for adding/updating a larger number of materials at a time. See Manage Price Lists.
  • A materials table entry can be added directly to a price list via the material context menu.
